Roadtrip 2014: Vancouver - Yakima - Boise - Provo - Flagstaff - Tucson - Palm Springs - Paso Robles - Sacramento - Eureka - Bandon - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 15 - Madera Canyon, Kentucky Camp

Eeeeyagh!! The critters keep getting bigger and bigger.

Everywhere you go - rules - rules - rules.

No sign of Government Conspiracies for two days is suddenly brought to an end with this little discovery. Something is thrumming behind that door.

The Acacias are strangely vibrant near our latest Government Conspiracy.

The bark on the trees grows in strangely matrix-like patterns.

Even the picnic sites are bathed in an unearthly glow.

Many trees are unusually warped,

We notice even arroyos are fenced. Time to get out.

This is the one-track road to and from the latest Government Conspiracy.

Last stop of the day: the ridge above the fabled Kentucky Camp, so named for the plucky Kentuckians who came here in search of The Matrix.

The deep dark digs of the Kentucky Campers.

A ittle light gets through - sometimes.

But it's mostly dark - most of the time.

An early Kentucky Hover-Car. It apparently never actually hovered.

On retreat from Kentucky Camp - which is located way the heck up a dirt road in the middle of nowhere Arizona- we spot these cones strung with police crime scene tape. Do not cross. Do not dare to cross.

The space time continuum is once again in flux.

Flux and darker flux. We're darn close to the Mexican border - is this what Carlos was on about?

The air bristles, objects succomb to the will of the phenomenon.

We make it out to the Sonoita Highway - but the distortions remain.

We extend our tin foil cloak and high tail it to the interstate - lest we be beamed up to the circular pool.
